North of Napa, there's a beautiful town - Healdsburg with delicious food, beautiful boutiques, impeccably designed hotels with bikes that you can take for the day, and so much more. Actually, every year for our anniversary we go there, and bike to the wineries... its so lovely!
There is a farm-venue near the town - Ru's Farm. You can stay there, host an even there, or - get married there, overlooking the vineyards as you say your vows, dine with your guests out on the lawn, and top the night off with dancing in the barn.
And that's exactly what these two lovebirds did!
The story of their chuppah is so beautiful!!!! The wood is from a tree of the groom's childhood home and was flown in for the ceremony! And the fabric is actually from the veil of the bride's mother's wedding! How sweet and meaningful is that?
There is a small cottage on the grounds where we had the groom waiting for the first look.
The couple handwrote little notes for all of their guests! The whole day was just so full of genuine love and joy. The guests were so fun, as it got dark and everyone wanted photos with the sun setting over the vineyard - they lit themselves with their phone flashlights so we could get that cool shot!
And when it got dark, and all the candles were lit on the tables, and the strands of lights across the courtyard came on - it just felt so magical. They capped the night off with dancing in the barn to a live band.
